Laura Michelle Kelly Will Play Jane Austen in Austen's Pride Musical

Laura Michelle Kelly, who originated the title role in the London production of Mary Poppins and was seen as Sylvia in Broadway’s Finding Neverland, will play Jane Austen in The 5th Avenue Theatre’s production of Austen's Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice, which begins previews October 4 prior to an official opening October 18. Kelly, who was also seen in the Barrington Stage Company's world premiere of The Royal Family, will co-star opposite Clifton Davis, the stage and screen actor who originated the role of the Sultan in Broadway's Aladdin. Davis’ numerous screen credits include Madam Secretary, Amen, and That’s My Mama. Additional casting will be announced later.

The complete cast is set for the St. Louis Muny’s upcoming presentation of Matilda, rounding out the outdoor venue’s 101st season August 5–11. Starring as Matilda will be Mattea Conforti, who made her Broadway debut in the title role of the musical (she’s since appeared on Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George and Frozen). The ensemble will feature Maya Bowles, Colby Dezelick, Sean Ewing, Ryan Fitzgerald, Berklea Going, Trevor Michael Schmidt, Gabi Stapula and Sharrod Williams, as well as the Muny Kid and Teen youth ensemble.

Cabaret, Starring Laura Michelle Kelly and Tony Nominee Forrest McClendon, Begins at CT Rep

The Connecticut Repertory Theatre production of Kander and Ebb’s Cabaret, starring Laura Michelle Kelly as Sally Bowles and Tony Award nominee Forrest McClendon as the Emcee, begins performances July 4 in Storrs, Connecticut. Performances run through July 21 in the Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre on the University of Connecticut campus. In addition to Kelly (Finding Neverland, The Royal Family of Broadway) and McClendon (The Scottsboro Boys), the cast of Cabaret also includes Tony Award nominee Dee Hoty (The Will Rogers Follies, Bright Star) as Fraulein Schneider, Jonathan Brody as Herr Schultz, Leslie Blake Walker as Fraulein Kost, Aidan Marchetti as Ernst Ludwig, and Thomas Bergamo as Hans.

Laura Michelle Kelly to Star in Cadogan Hall Concert

Laura Michelle Kelly, the Olivier Award-winning musical theatre actress who won critical acclaim for her lead role in Disney’s triumphant London stage production of Mary Poppins, returns to the UK in 2019 to perform at London’s Cadogan Hall. Discussing the Cadogan Hall date and her return to the London stage Laura said, “Coming back to London to sing in my own show is a big deal for me. I’ve already invited a few special guests to join me from some of the shows I’ve been a part of in the West End and I’m beyond excited to be performing with old friends. We are going to make it such a fun night!”

Laura Michelle Kelly reunites with Christian Borle for Me and My Girl at Encores!

Two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle and Olivier Award winner Laura Michelle Kelly have been announced as co-stars of the upcoming Encores! revival of the beloved musical Me and My Girl. Directed and choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle with music direction by Rob Berman, the production will run from May 9-13 at New York City Center.
